Our Heritage
The Bubble Hut was born from a simple conviction: that the best things worth eating are made slowly, by hand, with attention to every detail. In 2004, we opened our doors on Main Street in Lansing with a small deck, a stone oven, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Three decades later, that commitment has only deepened. Every loaf that leaves our kitchen carries the imprint of early mornings, time-honored techniques, and ingredients chosen with care. We source locally wherever we can — Michigan mills for our flour, regional dairy for our pastries, and family farms for our seasonal produce.
What began as a neighborhood bakery has grown into a gathering place — for breakfast before work, for afternoon coffee and cake, for weekend suppers built from our market provisions. The hut remains small. The craft remains central. The door remains open.
